Moher Cliff Notes

About Moher Cliff Notes

Who

Moher Cliff Notes is an independent guide run by Alexander B. The official site for the cliffs is cliffsofmoher.ie, the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, run by Clare County Council. This guide has no connection to either. Admission is sold on their site and at the gate.

Every figure in a table is checked against the source linked under it, and Alexander approves each page before it goes live.

How we check facts

Step What we do
Read Official pages first: the Visitor Experience for prices, hours and path closures, Bus Éireann for bus times, Doolin Ferry Co for sailings, Met Éireann for weather.
Tours Prices, ratings and review counts come from each tour’s live Viator or GetYourGuide page, in the currency it showed.
Date Every figure in a table carries its source and the day we read it.
Confirm A figure appears only if we read it on a source that day.

All sources are on the sources page, and photo credits on the image credits page.

Each build of the site lists every figure that hasn’t been re-read in six months, so it gets checked again. A figure not re-read in a year stops the site from building until it is.

Why

The cliffs are one stop, but there are many ways to reach them: a coach from Dublin, a day trip from Galway, bus 350, a boat from Doolin. This site puts the prices, times and closures for each side by side, with a date on every figure.

How the site earns money

Some pages link to tours and hotels on GetYourGuide, Viator and Stay22. If you book through one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What the dates mean

“Checked” is the day we last read the source. Admission prices change each year, and the cliff path status can change at any time.
