What you see from the top

The cliffs face the Atlantic between Hag’s Head in the south and the Doolin side in the north. They belong to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark and are a Special Protection Area for birds. Fulmars, peregrine falcons, choughs and ravens live here all year.

From the Visitor Centre, a paved path runs 800 m along the edge to O’Brien’s Tower, built by Sir Cornelius O’Brien in 1835. Your ticket also covers the exhibition and VR theatre, a free audio guide app, binocular loan, luggage storage and the Lifts of Moher buggies. The tickets and parking page lists the rest.

By bus. Bus Éireann 350 links Galway and Ennis with a stop at the Visitor Centre. On weekdays the timetable shows 10 departures from Galway Bus Station, and the ride takes about 1 h 56 min. Times are on the getting there page.

By car. Galway is 90 minutes away, Ennis 40 and Limerick 75, by the Visitor Experience’s estimates. The car park is across the road from the Visitor Centre.
